What are some Acoustic Rock "Must Have" Albums?
I already have a lot of stuff by the Eagles, Tom Petty and Pink Floyd. I recently listened to a Traveling Wilburys album that I think is great. What are some other rock groups or albums similar to the above that really incorporate and bring out the acoustic guitar? I'm looking to expand my music library (and horizons).
Thanks!

This may sound silly but here are a few favourites of mine:
- I Remember You (Skid Row) - Mama I'm Coming Home (Ozzy) - Every Rose Has Its Thorn (Poison) - More Than Words (Extreme) Of course, there's Clapton's Unplugged as well as GNR Lies... |

You should check out Monte Montgomery on utube. Probably the ultimate acoustic rock guitarist out there.

Monte on utube "little wings" pretty amazing. Don't think I want to loan him a guitar. He sure is hard of them but it is well worth the beating. Hey he uses the same pick and finger picking with the other fingers as I do. I think he has it down a little better better than I do.

Based on the albums you mentioned in OP, you might like the Thorns self-titled album. The Thorns are Shawn Mullins, Pete Droge, and Matthew Sweet. They only did one album together, to my knowledge. It's not all acoustic, but its heavily acoustic based with really tasty vocal harmonies ... think the Eagles, CSNY ... You might check it out.

Not strictly acoustic, but a number of Jethro Tull's early albums have some delightful acoustic guitar passages in them. Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, and Living in the Past are especially good.
