Congrats on the 712 - she's a beauty! I am a fan of the Taylor 12-frets, and the Grand Concert body is really comfortable.

Since you mentioned already considering adding another, you might try a 522ce 12-fret... same size and shape that you know you like, but a very different sound with the all mahogany body.

That is a gorgeous burst on your new guitar!

Sweet. Picked up a 12-string 12-fret myself. They play beautifully. Have fun.

Very sweet instrument for sure. And the burst looks very cool!!! Congrats. In 2013, I was about to pull the trigger for a used limited Macassar ebony/cedar at GC and backed up due to a crack on the top.

I looks great and I agree with Orfeus, burst is awesome. Yesterday I went to the Music Gallery to have the action on my El Capitan lowered, and while waiting asked to try a Taylor. Matt, the ubercool dude there, said "try this one, I really like the way this one sounds". And I agreed with him and it sounded great and had really nice playability. He said he was really a Martin guy, but this Taylor was nice. Sorry, I don't remember which model it was, but I think the tag was around $2600. Some how we started talking about volume and a guitar not breaking up when played hard, and he pulled out a $10k McPherson...I checked that out....ummm...that was pretty nice!! Lol..Anyway, I was impressed with the Taylor I tried.
