Thumbs up Petros Update

It's been a while since I posted anything about my upcoming Petros. But rather than post individual pictures, here's a link to the build on Bruce's website. It should be here in less than a month, and then the home photos will flow ad nauseum.

Beautiful inlays - your pattern or Petros? Nice abalone purfling - but you know that will keep it from ever "living" at my house due to S's major negative reaction to any shell!!! She'll see that and immediately not look beyond (or listen beyond!!). We'll just have to work on her...

Really nice wood on that headstock overlay, too. Very nice...

I've forgotten - is that T13 redwood on the top?

Thanks for posting!!

Phil

John,

That's a beautiful Petros you have in process there. Has a real nice inlay scheme, as Phil noted. Thanks for posting the album.

Thanks guys. Phil.........the top is Italian Spruce, and the inlays are from a signature model (Hausa) Bruce did sometime back. I really liked them, and he agreed to put them on my guitar. And I'm really not a huge fan of abalone either, but that's Petros' standard purfling, and I spent the bulk of my budget on wood choices. Now that I see it in pics though, I kind of like it.

I love your inlays. My Petros is right behind yours.

New pictures added last night. The bridge is on, so it shouldn't be long!

fitness...........I had planned to bring the Petros to McJam this year, but unfortunately I can't travel yet post surgery. You could have played it to your heart's content. Next year perhaps?

That would be very cool. I've never played one, and there are few builders that get my attention in such a way...
