Default Preamp (for K&K equipped guitar)

Looking for a preamp for my K&K mini equipped guitar.

Preferably a Red Eye Fire Eye or Tonebone PZ Pre/Deluxe.

Let me know what you've got, thanks!

Good luck with your search!

If you stumble upon a BBE Acoustimax at a good price, don't be afraid to give it a try. It's my preamp of choice now, especially with passive pickups (K&K and DiMarzio Angel). I've also owned the Fire-Eye Red-Eye, Baggs PADI & Venue, and the Fishman Aura & Platinum Pro, and the Acoustimax outperformed all of them, especially when going into a PA in a live situation. Of course, as with everything, but especially acoustic amplification, YMMV.

That must be one of those vintage ones from the 70's, eh?

I'm sure this is way above your price point, but I recently sold a bunch of preamps and pedals and bought a Helix ($1000 used). It works great with all my acoustic pickups (and electric guitars too) and is so versatile. Effects, EQ, preamps, cab sims, routing, etc... loads of options.

YMMV...
