PENDING/1965 Epiphone (Gibson) FT-79 "Texan" $2,100
A fantastic sounding/playing "player" slope-shouldered Texan with golden-aged cherryburst finish and stunning Brazilian bridge and fretboard. All truly requisite mods are already done professionally (e.g., pitching the old ceramic and metal screw bridge set-up with new saddle and tight rosewood fill; new bone nut and fret replacement by Bryan Kimsey). The neck was reset prior to my ownership and the action is perfect up and down the neck. Picture says it all, but I've also added Willi's replica cream bridge pins that pop a bit better than the replacements pictured. This one has really great thump and a bit more note "blossom" than my comparable North Street factory D-28...and so much lighter.
Here's Bryan's YouTube video run-down of the guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etE-Qm6xJJ8 Here's a brief clip showing the guitars more quieter, nuanced application: https://soundcloud.com/sonic-romp/eating-the-blame Original case included.
