Default New banjo on the way...

I have some okay banjos in my life but I just ordered a higher end banjo today. I have a Deering Eagle 2 on the way from EBay from a Deering dealer. The price was nearly $500 cheaper than I could get it locally. I was able to try one of these sometime back and I love the tone. They seem to have more sustain than your typical BG banjo. I plan to keep my RK35 too since they really are different animals.

That'll make four banjos for me, and I don't see me buying any more.

The Deering should be here Friday.

Todd

Hey Todd, congrats! Have you been considering a "high end" banjo for a while?

Yeah. Just never pulled the trigger. I've had some very good banjos, just nothing high end.

Just got a Deering myself! I LIKE saying it's made in the USA!

I owned a Deering Deluxe years ago... Wish I still owned it. Can't go wrong with a Deering.

The new Deering arrived! Wow, what an impressive banjo! The tone is spectacular and the fit and finish are perfect.

Been pining for a Deering for ages. Have a bunch of Gold Tones as a sort of consolation prize, but I've played some Deerings that would eat my Gold Tones for breakfast.

Btw, the Deering print catalogue is a gold mine of information about banjos in general. Kind of like the first Playboy magazine for those who aren't getting any.
