True dat! Cool ain't cheap or you could buy the Winnie and a couple of really, really nice Martins and still have some travel money left over compared to the list price of a Martin D-200 (List price $149,900)....

10 Best Reasons to Buy Winnie Revel vs Martin D-200

1) You can deduct interest of Winnie on your taxes

2) Don't need to keep Winnie in its case

3) Winnie has 4WD

4) In case of a disagreement over how much you spent on this RV, you can sleep in it.

5) If you get evicted, you can live in the Winnie

6) You can drive the Winnie to Nazareth, PA for Martin Fest

7) You don't need to maintain humidity of the Winnie

8) You can drive away from those who mock you for spending that much on an RV

9) You can keep the Martin in your Winnie, but not vice versa

10) And perhaps most importantly, you can tell your Significant Other that you bought the Winnie for both of you to enjoy with a straight face...

She: - "This ain't your father's winnebago..."
He:- "Shut up, it's a better canoe".

Another reason for Winnie Revel is that you can show your friends and be more comfortable saying "I paid money for that".

Price is not that bad. Any 2WD based on the Mercedes Sprinter is going to push $100,000. Seems geared towards attracting the younger "adventure sport" crowd and gives up some creature comforts for utility.

I would be a bit dubious of its off road capability with small tires, high center of gravity, and overall gross weight.

Seems geared towards people I don't know.

This 'crowd' has over $100K for a recreational vehicle? Must be a nice life!

We're not talking greeters at Walmart. I knew plenty of 30-somethings who could afford it easily enough if they wanted it badly enough.

Most can't, but some can afford the payments. I prefer a less elegant, but debt-free like. Not that I don't have a nice life too.

Their Colorado adventure took place right near me. I kind of doubt that they made Ophir pass in that thing.

Certainly not for me.

I tend to think that the targeted youthful "outback" demographic regardless of income would be more into well-designed, compact, quality camping gear while operating out of a much more agile, fuel-efficient AWD hatchback or SUV. Some of these vehicles even have attachable camping accessories including tents that affix/surround the open hatch. Personally, I don't think this camper will realize many model years.

You can stay in a lot of very nice comfortable hotels for that price.

Get a Mercedes Sprinter extended cargo van (MSRP $42,895) and outfit it yourself.

Sleeping bag. $60.00
Cot. $25.00
Coleman gear.... $400.00

Savings: $91,419 (Pays for the cottage by the lake when you are sick of sleeping in a Sprinter sized van)
