Default My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

With spring just around the corner, I was pulling my horse packing gear together and felt inspired to record this song. Let me know what you think and what could help move it along.

Cool tune, Bud. I just picture myself setting off across a wide open filed on a pleasant horseback ride.

ONly thing I have for you to think about is to make sure you keep that gentle swing rhythm going throughout the song. A few places I think the lyrics cause your strumming to get a little too straight walking for that cowboy swagger.

Excellent tune, Bud. I really enjoy your songs. Thanks for sharing, pal!

Bel isi,
-kyle

Klyle, Thanks my friend, appreciate the suggestions as well. I will try to keep that bow legged strumming going. :-)

Hey Bud,
I agree with the previous posts and may I say you have a wonderful voice as I commented on your YT channel. I like this easy goin' original, well done. I havn't listened to all your songs on your channel yet, however, I bet you could do an awesome job on some Merle H.; he is one an all-time fav of mine. His new cd is awesome! Keep it strummin'
A new fan,

Very nice, Bud!

Your singing is always a pleasure and the strumming sounded really good to me. I would speed it up just a little bit (but it's been years and years since I heard this song, not sure about the original tempo - and this does have a nice, easy cowboy sound to it, of course).

You have a wonderful voice for country my friend! My ONLY comment is that it "sounds" as if the g-string or b-string may have been a tiny bit out of tune. Other than that I loved the tune in everyway! Nice job!

Great voice. Great singin'.

Playing could be cleaner. Some chord changes were uncertain and towards the end I thought the playing got just a little sloppy. I don't think the guitar tuning was 100% spot on.

But these points are the least of it, believe me - I really admire your singing.

Jody, You have a good ear as I went back and listened and it does sound a touch out of tune. Appreciate the encouragement.
