Default Schertler Jam 100 Acoustic Amp

I just bought one of these for my wife's electric cello. And, for me.

I have owned loads of amps over the years (mostly electrics). So I am not often wowed by amps. This amp wows me for sure. It is tiny. It looks really nice. So nice, in fact, my wife even wants to keep it in the living room.

It is the best amp I have played for acoustic. I do love the AERs. I have a Strawberry Blonde SWR which I like. And I had a Trace Elliot amp which was okay. This amp REALLY has a natural sound. It sounds so huge for such a small amp. And the options are nice. It is like a mini PA. Three channels.

If anyone is considering a small, higher end acoustic amp, I sincerely recommend this.

I agree with you totally.
It's such a great little amp with a big, clear sound.
The only thing I wish it had was a fx loop.
I picked up an Empress ParaEq and the extra EQ control took the amp to whole other level.

Are you using the ParaEq to dial out feedback or shape your sound....or both?

I'm curious to know how you normally set it up.

We'll I've only had the ParaEQ for just about 24 hours now so take that into consideration. That being said I spent some time last night with the ParaEq and was able to get a really good sound. I used the low control to get rid of some low rumble 100-150k which would definitely feed back if left untamed. The mids and high were used more for tone shaping. I had previously been using a Boss GE-7 which worked very well but the ParaEQ was a couple of notches better. I A/B them after getting the best I could out of each pedal and the ParaEq was the clear winner. I imagine with some more time spent with it I'll get even more out of it.
