I always loved the sound of a wah on a clean strat tone but I haven't tried it with acoustic. What style of music do you play?

Nice to see other people just mounting the mixer on the board.

Unless you have an overwhelming desire to spend buckets of money, then you may want to investigate this:

Solo & band.

here are some list I have

Red/eye DI
fender ABY pedal
Boss Reverb
Boss Chorus
Korg tuner.

what do you have? and what's the essential ones that you recommend?

thanks!!
My setup is pretty simple:
ABY box (for those times I play two different guitars in a set)
Korg Blackface tuner
Boss Delay Pedal (forget which one)
Boss AD-3 (includes reverb, chorus, feedback filter and some EQ).

If I were doing separate pedals, delay, reverb, chorus and a preamp with EQ settings and the Korg tuner. (I use it as a mute as much as the tuner.)

Agree the Zoom A3 does a lot and is so compact and affordable. Even lets you second source a mic and mix it in.

Yes yes yes to the Zoom A3. It has nearly everything that an acoustic guitarist would need in terms of eq, notch, effects, envelopes, ease of operation, volume and dual source with all that available for both. Actually there are so many more uses of the A3 than anyone could write about here.

Until recently my acoustic pedalboard consisted of just a Radial PZ-Pre with a Flashback delay in the effects loop, reverb added courtesy of my combo amp or mixer. I also have an Aura 16 on there for use with my Godin Multiac nylon.

About a month ago, however, I got Electro Harmonix Mel 9 Tape Replay Machine--basically a Mellotron in a pedal--and you'd be surprised at how wonderful it sounds with acoustic guitar--especially the cello and flute settings. The pedal lets you mix your dry acoustic sound with the Mellotron sound, so you get something like the sound of your acoustic being accompanied by the Mellotron sounds, and it tracks polyphonically very well, so you get both individual notes and chords and you can control the attack and sustain to achieve some lovely swelling effects. With some added analog or tape delay you get wonderful, spooky, and rich sounds for adding ambience to fingerpicked ballads and big orchestral sweeps of sound for heavy strumming. I'm loving this pedal! If you like adding sounds to your acoustic sound, and especially if you love the weird, proggy-pshychedelic, wobbly tape-saturated sound of a Mellotron, it's really worth checking out.

Louis

None. Reverb is on the Fishman SA220 amp, set and never needs adjustment after that. Tuner is on the headstock. Volume, blend, EQ, EQ fine adjust and Mute is on the guitar. A remote 15dB roll-off is on the Nady wireless transmitter. Not a pedal guy.

I would need to wear reading glasses to use this mic setup! Or I would use it.

Yes. This is just a threaded pipe flange which holds a 4" piece of pipe. I tapped and threaded the pipe and added a screw with a plastic knob on the end. I unscrew this section and place it in the pouch in the front of the pedalboard case. To unpack and set up, I just screw in the short pipe, drop in the mic stand and tighten the knob. I leave the cable coiled around the flange so I just uncoil about 5 feet and I am ready. Mic stand Stays in place very well. I did shorten the mic stand base and the arm about 3" so it fits in the case which holds my pedalboard.

Yes, but the great thing about the app I use (On Song) is I can make the type as large as I need. It has a function called auto scroll which scrolls the chord chart as I play. You are right about the reading glasses. Without the large type, I couldn't read it either.

KUDOS to that setup! @Davis Webb. I'm going to shoot for something like that. I have that tablet holder already, but never thought of putting my little mixer right on my pedal board. I have one of those big ones that have carpet and you use strips of velcro and put them wherever you want them. And the case has a 4 guitar rack included. I also have that RC-1 though I haven't yet played my first gig so I'm going to go without loopers and vocal harmonizers until I get my sea legs. Just me, fat acoustic and PA for a little while.

I have a K&K in my Talylor 412 and run it into a Fishman Loudbox Mini that has reverb (always on) and chorus if I want. My "pedal board" consists of a latching kill switch and the most wonderful pedal on Earth, an EHX Mel9.
