Default 'Winter Tree' (original)

Those of you who purchased my CD will know that my wife Lynne painted literally dozens of 'Winter Tree' thank you cards that I sent out with them. I stowed away the title for future use and set myself the task coming up with a tune that suits. The other week I stumbled on a new partial capo tuning and this tune came out over a couple of days.

So here is my offering for the winter season

https://youtu.be/oqwWXjqmJxs

Hope you like it.

Just wonderful, Phil! A "winter solstice" feel....heavy snow, quiet solitude and peace all around come through in this piece to me. Congrats on a nice new one!

Wow, Phil! That was really lovely! And how wonderful that your wife's watercolor paintings could inspire you in this way. What a lovely treat for my ears and my eyes!

Hard to feel it when it's sunny and 10 degrees c here in Vancouver. But it's still lovely and makes me remember.

Thanks Fred

I kept that vision you describe in my mind whilst working on the music.
