Hi Bob - I don't think many people have heard of D'Pergo guitar (myself included). It may be a fabulous instrument, and you may have paid $12K for it, but I'd recommend a price drop if you're serious about selling it.

My gut feeling is that if you put it closer to $3K, you may be able to find a buyer. Food for thought!

If anyone is interested in what a D'Pergo is, then head off to The Gear Page. No exaggeration to say they are the Somogyi/Traugott/Kostal/Claxton of the strat copy world. I've played three and they have smoked every other strat I've played, including several real-deals from the 50s and 60s.

One thing this thread has done is to genuinely spur my curiosity about D'Pergo guitars. A $12K Strat copy must have a truly special kind of feel/sound/mojo that I haven't come close to experiencing yet, and seriously, I want to find out more about it. Off I go...

I agree on the Gear Page as a better place to post this, first thing I thought when I saw this - folks there know what a D'Pergo is and understand the rarity and value of these instruments.
