Just a bump for a fine guitar that will make someone very happy! (Hope someday it might be me.)

I agree! The discount could very well be $4.5k or more in comparison to a new one with the same features. I think that's pretty fair!

It is a ridiculous crime that this guitar is still available. Bashkins are among the best I've ever played!

I seriously can't believe this guitar hasn't been sold. Its got great sound from one of the better builders in the world. Its in fine condition. And finally, its a fair price. I know the economy sucks, heck that's why I haven't been able to jump on it yet, but this is a wonderful guitar just waiting for a home.

(And for those who might wonder, yes, I'm still interested.)

Default Hoping

I have followed this thread pretty much since it first started. I have never had a chance to play a Bashkin, but a handful of online videos and a few emails to Jesse at BGS have really sparked my interest. Michael Bashkin, Bill Wise, And Don Sharp are 3 builders I am extremely interested in. I too, would possibly jump on this if it weren't for a little too much debt and the need to handle more pressing financial issues.

Jay, here's hoping you are in a position soon to make a move on this. Even if I was, I think I would feel guilty buying this out from under you! Shane

Edit: this post made it sound like I am interested in the luthiers; not their guitars! Hope everyone knew what I was trying to say. Happy Memorial Day.

Hey Shane you wouldn't be buying out from under me at all. I feel bad. I've tried to get in position for this wonderful guitar for about three years. The problem was that I also had an incredible desire to play a harp guitar. (Its kind of like being in love with two beautiful women). About a year and a half ago I had to make a choice and I commissioned my Noble. Now, my boss where I manage decided to retire, leaving me a chance to buy her business and hopefully some long term financial security so someday I WILL be in position to buy a "lifer" guitar like this Bashkin. Just not now. Aaron has waited waaaaay too long in finding a buyer this guitar. I feel bad for him because he's been a good guy and has a great guitar at a fair price. He shouldn't have to wait any longer, as this is one of the best deals for a great guitar on AGF.

Buy this guitar!

ps. Michael's shop is about twenty minutes away from my house. I've played a bunch of guitars that have come out of his shop and a few others on this thread have played many more. I have yet to hear of a lemon, Michael's build quality is top notch!

Jay, I don't think you are in any danger of losing this guitar to me! I wish You were! This seems as if this is an excellent opportunity for someone to get a world-class guitar at a factory guitar price. Jay, I hope things work out for you. This guitar should belong to you. I envy you and your proximity to Mr. Bashkin. One day, maybe I'll get my chance to play and maybe even own one of these wonderful instruments. Each one I have seen online has been a work of art visually and sonically.
