NGD Martin 000-28.
Taking a break from all the constant family gatherings at my house, so took a ride to my local shop. They had a few choice Martins, but the ones I honed in on were an OM-42 that was hanging on the wall…and then eventually a OOO-28 they hadn’t even unboxed yet. As expected both were fine instruments. Initially I thought the -42 had a more traditional (bit zingy) sound I like, while, the -28 seemed brassy and loud.
The -42 had a wonderful top with lots of silking…the -28 more plain. After A/Bing I started to enjoy the tone of the -28 more and more - and because of the herringbone trim, decided I liked the more classic look. Along with the price difference, had to go with the 000.

Congrats - sounds like you had a great time enjoying the opportunity to choose a fantastic guitar.
I played mine last night in a pub in Donegal backing 14 fiddles, an uileann piper, an irish flute and a concertina. It played that role so well, and then shone when I accompanied myself singing, in DADGAD and standard. I also played some lead when another guitar joined later on. A good Dread might have been better for some of it and a good OM for others - but would have to be really good dread/OM but as an all rounder a nice 000-28 is tough to beat. Congrats again on yours.

I personally believe that the 000-28 is the most musically versatile guitar on the market. Congratulations on nabbing yours.
