So long, Mr. Wilder. You'll be missed. But your movies will be replayed at my house. Often.

Only saw Young FRONKENSTEEN on TV a few days ago. I, personally, think that Willy Wonka was one of his best roles and one which will introduce him to generations to come. RIP Gene.

Why is it that we never fully appreciate those who give us countless moments of joy the way Gene Wilder did until they pass away?

A shame he didn't make more movies than he did. He didn't need to swear to be funny (although his outburst in the See No Evil, Hear No Evil car scene was brilliant). Definitely one of my favourite actors.

"Yeah, but I shoot with this hand." - Blazing Saddles. There are so many great lines to choose from. One of my very favorite actors for a lot of reasons. I didn't realize he was 83. He'd been out of the spotlight for many years. Time sure does fly. He will be missed.

He said he quit making movies because he didn't like the way Hollywood was glorifying violence and graphic sex. Imagine that.....

While I remember him all the way back to "The Producers", I believe his funniest work was with Richard Pryor in those 1980s movies. Silver Streak and whatever that prison movie was they did together.

Oh, jeez! One of the funniest, most neglected movies of all time! Why didn't more people watch it?

"Blazing Saddles." "The Producers." "Young Frankenstein." They're all classics, unless you worship at the altar of safe spaces and trigger warnings.
