Default Another Liberty Tree Guitar, but not by Taylor.

Seems there's at least 1 more guitar made from the wood of the Liberty Tree than the ones Taylor produced. I had never heard this story before:

Libert Tree

That is an awsome piece of inlay on that.

But my eyes must be crossed, because I thought I saw 8 stings??
Whats up with that?

I'm going by memory, don't have time to re-read the whole story, but I think the 8-string was a special commission. The one going to the museum is a regular 6, I think.

I think BobT bought the wood from this guy, or something like that. It may be discussed in W&S. My memory is not that great on a Friday afternoon...

No, Taylor did not buy the wood from Gallagher. Don't even go there. Those who have been here for a while know why.

Omega got a little of the wood. Taylor got most of it. Both built beautiful commemorative guitars. Omega's are extremely limited museum pieces (13 or 14, I think?) Taylor's are moderately limited special editions.

In the end, all is well.

PS, if you look carefully at this photo of Kevin holding the guitar in his shop, you may see an interesting name on his wait list...

I wonder if Kevin would do a custom signature model for her? Extra narrow in the waist, and with the upper bout grotesquely larger than the lower bout?
