Default NGD: Martin D15M

I found this guitar on CL and thought I would check it out. The price seeemed pretty good and I was going to be in his town for work anyway. So, I checked it out.

The guitar is maybe three years old and appears well played. There are a couple of dings and scratches, but structurally very good. The tone... Oh the tone!!! This thing is louder and more articulate than I expected. He's a mandolin player, so we jammed for an hour or so on bluegrass songs and the D15M hung in there nicely. So, I went for it.

I'm in a motel, so not the best picture. I think I'm really going to like this one!

Enjoy! I missed one offered at an exceptional price just a few months ago because I couldn't successfully warp space and time. Still pining after that one.

Nice. It will be interesting to see how much time you spend with it compared to your other ones over the next couple years. The 15 series has a way of taking over.

Congratulations!
Really nice looking guitar (and I think the pic is great).
Be careful...I agree that D-15 guitars have a way of taking over...
Enjoy!

I just sold mine to an AGFer as well as trading my D28 a while back for a 000-18. This was all shoulder/neck related discomfort. Now I can't get the 000-15 out of my head.

I am coming to the opinion that everyone should have a 15 series in their toolbox.

sigh......

I love, love, love Martin 15-series tone.

I've had four different ones. Five if you count that I owned the same guitar at two different times.

Love the tone.

Hess - could you please comment on the differences with the J-15 and the 000-15? Why did you choose the J-15? Does Martin still make this model
thank you
