Default Best Acoustic Amp

Hi, I'm new to this forum my names Mike I live in Ireland close to the Avalon Guitar Factory. I play an Avalon 201CE with a onboard Fishman Prefix. I'm looking to buy a new acoustic amp,and I've been advised to check out SR Technology amps, which are supposed to be better than the AER amps used by the great Tommy Emmanuel.

As I'm flying out to the US and Canada soon on a short visit, I was wondering should I buy an Amp while I'm there, the question is WHAT is the best Acoustic amp OR best amp per pound/buck! Thank you!

There is no better Acoustic Amps than AER...
German High Quality Amps, just for Acoustic Instruments..
If you are seeking the real Acoustic Tone...
I recommend a AER 60 Compact with two chanells..
Thatīs just my 2 cents..

I would say the Shertler "Unico" is among the best available for its size.

Very careful that what you buy can have the power input switched, the states runs on different voltage rates than Ireland

I would say the AER and Rivera are your two best acoustic amps, but the best acoustic amp for the money? Ultrasound!

Was wondering how you gonna get the amp back to Ireland? Shipping may cost you a fortune. You might get it on the plane as personal cargo - but I would check weight limits with the airline beforehand. You will also have to box / crate it up. I would think you can find good amps somewhere in Europe to avoid overseas shipping.

In addition to the other amps already mentioned (AER, Schertler, Riviera), I would also check out the higher end Genz Benz acoustic amps. The Pro LT and 300 LT are wonderful amps, if on the big side, and the Compak 300 amps are great-sounding, powerful, and very portable.

I'm going to "second" that... It's always a highly subjective topic, but AER amps really are excellent. I'm partial to this one:

Serial #1 for the model with an Oak cabinet.

I am very fond of Acoustic Image with a Raezer's Edge 12. Awesome sounds and easy to carry around with a guitar on the back.

As far as straight up best quality at any price it's either AER or Rivera...hands down...but if you're looking for the best at a good price range it's hands down Ultrasound. Their AG series amps are simply the best for their price range...Should match very well with your Avalon...

Shouldn't be a problem with the AER Comapct 60. It could easily be a carry on. Don't know about security though.

Default Loudbox

Where does the Fishman Loudbox, specifically the Loudbox Mini fit in here?
Do folks consider this second tier for acoustic solo guitar?
