Default Twin Brazilian Laurent Brondel A2's

Laurent Brondel has been one of my favorite Luthiers for a while now, its finally time for a custom build thread...!!! Call me crazy, we're doing a side by side matched pair... I had a couple old primo sets of Brazilian tucked away, time to stop the oxidation and start some creation! One will be short scale, 25", and the other his standard, 25.6".... Both Adirondack Tops... Both same styling... The pics will tell the tale! He started about a month ago, I'll post what I have so far and update as more comes my way...

Laurents progress shots:

Some shots will include 3 builds, Laurent had an additional order to be started that will be worked into the batch...

Amazing!

So jealous over here...particularly for the short scale.

I have enjoyed Larry Pattis adventures in that area in recent AGF posts/builds.

I have played a couple of Laurent's guitars and they are just fabulous. Can't wait to hear about the finished duo!

Nobody does a better photo job of the build process. I have been playing my A2
Exclusively lately.

Wow, that second set of BRW in particular looks fantastic. (love that straight grained stuff) Can't wait to see the finished products!

Thanks for all the comments and enthusiasm Folks! The idea of the twins started with me not being able to decide if I wanted short scale or standard... Being that I had 2 sets, and 2 different scale lengths in mind, well....! Lol... One of my favorite concepts of Laurents is using the Burl... So when I mentioned same styling, Burl will be the foundation on design... I was first inspired by his Black Cocobolo A2 from 2014, and Justin's A2 here on the AGF that followed after that... so yea, BURL....! top trim, rosette, pick guard, center strip headstock, back strip and back boarder, end graph.... I kinda left the spruce up the Laurent, I didn't care, one German one Adi... both Adi... One German one Carpathian etc... In the end Laurent found two Adi tops that inspired him, so, if it's good for him then it's good for me.

I'll have some updates soon! Thanks for viewing...
