Sound propagation is one of the easiest parameters to measure. Even if one doesn't have a sound pressure meter, on can use the Vu meter of a recorder to compare the propagation of two different speaker systems.

I want to stress that I said sound *penetration* not speaker propagation; I agree that the latter is empirically measurable.... :-)

I was referring to quantifying the difference between two speaker systems with respect to the rate at which volume diminishes with distance.

Isn't that penetration?

I might have a brand new BagAmp available delivered right to your house for $325. Don't know how to break it to the wife and might be better off passing it off direct to someone here. (Don't know why I put in a bid in the first place)

I put a bid in on one too! Not really sure I want to win it, though ...

Bob,

For what you've offered for the BagAmp, I think you'll soon be the proud owner of one! I may put in another offer on one for a few bucks more than I did before because for the prices it's selling at, it may not be a bad deal! I mean a BagAmp at the now going price-range of offers is probably a Sound bargain!

Regards,

SpruceTop

P.S. Hey! Bob! I like your band's rendition of the Ides Of March's "Vehicle." One of my favorite tunes from the early '70s!

I see that one sold for full BIN asking price late last night. I would try high 200's.

That band broke up 2 years ago right after we made that demo.

I just got one, have to send it back, both channels cut out at non-peak levels. Dead, then unplug the instrument and plug it back in, works. Cords are good.

Not a bad amp though when it worked...

Hi Neal,

Will you be exchanging it for another new BagAmp or going for a refund? In other words, do you feel the BagAmp is worth pursuing now that you've heard it between it cutting in and out on you? Thanks for any feedback.

Regards,

SpruceTop

I liked the size, the look, and the sound when it was on. A DI box is necessary with these though. The uke sounded ok marginally, and the guitars needed tweaking that the controls wouldn't allow. I'll ask for a replacement. Or, if they can fix this one, I'm cool with that too.

I have a Fishstick too. I like that, but this one is really, really portable. The Fishstick is probably 10 pounds heavier.
