For Sale: 1964 Martin D28 PRICE REDUCED!
PRICE REDUCED TO $5600. Here is a true "closet classic" early '64 (the old Martin factory, hide glue, etc) D28 in stellar condition. All original except for the little plastic cover on the heel, which looks to be too white to be original. Has had a recent neck reset. The frets are fine with no need for a refret anytime soon. There are no significant scratches or dings and no buckle rash. There is the well known B-string pickguard crack which has been cleated and has been stable for the 4 years I've owned the guitar. There is only a little light finish checking between the soundhole and the bridge. There is a little finish chipping near the bridge which I assume was caused when the bridge was removed and reglued during the neck reset. The guitar has been inspected inside and out by several (5 to be exact) well respected Martin certified luthiers and all have pronounced her to be fit as a fiddle. The guitar plays like a dream and is punchy and bright, as you'd expect. The sale also includes the original case, also in excellent condition. Comes from a non-smoker home.
