"Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac is just F and G. Capo 1, lock into an E shape and just slide up and down at will. As you learn more you can dress up the chords in the chorus to be more like the recording but it sounds fine with just straight up F and G.

Someone already mentioned "(Lime in the) Coconut" is just one chord - a C7 - and it's a good one to practice fingerpicking.

"Snake Farm" by Ray Wylie Hubbard is another one chord song - E all the way.

"Feel Like Making Love" by Bad Company is mostly a two chord song - D and G - with one instance or C at the end of the refrain.

Good luck!

I haven't played it in decades, but as I recall, it was basically Em>D6 or something like that over and over for about an hour.
Sometimes I'll start a set by playing that, then I'll stop and say, "Nahh, I'd never do that to anybody!"

Tom Petty - Free Fallin'

Technically its 3 chords but all are variations of D and you only have to move one finger, the other two stay the same the entire song. Can teach someone who has never held a guitar how to play it in about 5 minutes.

That said, its mind-numbing to actually play

I was trying to think of some more up-tempo stuff for my o.m. nights, when this popped into my head.
(I admit, that as an ignorant Brit, I had first heard this via Elvis Costello).

Anyhoo, I remembered the words and upon Googling the chords, I was delighted to find I'll only be needin' D and A7 to make it my own !

I can pretty much sing like Hank (ahem....) so I like to think my vocals cover some of my instrumental shortcomings.....

What else y'all got for me ?

(I can do several other well known chords BTW, just easier when they are not all together, in the same song).

Yippee Kiy Ay ! Lookout Nashville, here I come !
Hoping that I'm not too late to the party, but anyway...

"What I Got" by Sublime...D and G chords.

Obviously, this thread's gone on too long now for new contributors to bother reading thru' it all...

Y'all can quit any-time now. I've got plenty. You don't have to keep going, not on my account.

Thanks to all, even those who continue to stubbornly suggest "Horse with no Tune" or whatever it's called.
Are you guys deliberately winding me up now ?

And "Achy Breaky Heart"??!!. Ok that was uncalled for. I didn't come here for this. That's just plain fightin' talk and surely a rule #1 violation ?

Gee whiz gentlemen, why not just add one more chord and play something that sounds good ? I'm not knocking 2 chord songs (actually, I am ) but by just adding ONE more chord, playing the guitar is like a MILLION times more fun. Playing 2 chord songs SUCKS in my opinion, unless you have the entire band and a flashy lead singer One man's opinion,
