Harp guitars" and "wild and crazy" go hand in hand. Gregg Miner has done a lot to promote the instruments, to good effect. In the right hands, they can produce some very nice music. But their visual strangeness is what first draws a lot of people to them, I suspect. Gregg was attracted to them as an extension of his more general interest in odd instruments.
