Default Delta carry-on

I have not flown with a guitar for probably 10 years. Any recent experience with Delta for an OM size guitar? I will have a backpack as well. Part of flight is to Scotland.

I can't answer to your question...but I stopped flying with Delta because they don't have enough room for me, let alone my guitar.

It'a been a couple of years since I've flown with a guitar but the Delta in flight crew were always nice about letting me put the guitar in their suit closet. The catch is I was using a soft bag. With a case they are more likely to make you check it in.

It's always a gamble but the soft case actually works better because I tell them it's an expensive guitar (it wasn't) and they know if a soft bag is checked in it would get damaged. Soft bags will fit in the over head as well.
