While I would, of course, have no idea what topwood would pair best with Hog B&S for your taste in tone, I have found Giant Redwood (Sequoiadendron Giganteam) when paired with hog pleases my ear and works exeptionally well for my playing style.

I've been partial to a Mahogany top since I've learned to play guitar. It's just...different.

Any top wood you like... as long as it's adirondack spruce!
Sounds like a nice guitar. All my favorite instruments have had red spruce tops over the years. Fingers crossed, I have a moon spruce top coming on a custom guitar (BRW) so I hope that stuff is up to snuff. I hear good things. I just love the dry, crack of adirondack. Especially on my old Martin guitars. It's just the sound my ears are looking for when I listen to acoustic guitar. I'm partial to mahogany too. Good luck! J
