It's a really tonally versatile guitar. It' gives you a lot of good sounding usable tones. I'm really happy with this guitar.

The rotary switch is a 6 way.

1- neck
2- neck & middle
3 -middle
4- middle and bridge
5 -bridge
6 - neck & bridge.
That's what was missing - I didn't realize there was a rotary switch. That clarifies things.

I was able to play the SG today, after everyone left work. Took out the AC15 and was able to turn it loose for a while. Wow. I love the sound of it. I compared it with my Les Paul, and the tone was brighter. I really liked it a lot.

One thing that was kind of different- you can really get high up on the neck, Much more so than my other guitars. So looking for the 12th fret was kind of different- it wasn't where I expected to find it, if that makes any sense. It was in th middle of the fretboard.

Yep, more room in the upper frets on the SG compared to the Les Paul.
