Default Lowden introduces Electric Guitar GL-10

What a sweet looking electric, the GL-10. I'd love to try it out but I'm guessing I'll never see it locally.

Some basic specs:
mahogany body with a middle rosewood or maple laminate
Lollar Imperial Gold pickups
just over 8 lbs,
12" radius

Your thoughts?

I'm guessing you couldn't afford it even if you do...

I am reminded of Martin's foray into the electric guitar world. I doubt this will fare any better.

I like it. It retains the "Lowden Look".

Well, that's encouraging.

It does. Elegant and not overstated (at least compared to my F-25).

Taylor tried the same thing with a few solid bodies and gave up the project after short time.

Taylor's biggest issue here was their insistence on using proprietary parts for virtually all the hardware and electronic. They seriously misread the 'mod' culture endemic to electric guitar players, and then did themselves no favours by having no spare part inventory when they discontinued them.

I seriously doubt that Lowden's future existence depends on the success or failure of this electric line. They'll all be custom ordered anyway. If you like the look, and are prepared to put down the cash, go for it.

I think it's quite lovely.

My initial thought when I saw the guitar is that it looks like something Taylor would put out, visually speaking.

The adjustable saddles have THREE back instead of TWO. George, George, George. What were you thinking?!

I do kind of like the cake-icing look of it. Not buying an electric though. Would've kept my ES-175 if I wanted on of them critters.
