Thanks for the info, HHP. I'd like to give these a try.

HHP, you got me to bite. I put in an order. They have what looks to be the size that I prefer (Bluechip’s TP).

Just got a casein 1.5 Mandolin style ... beautiful, perfectly finished, sounds exactly right for me. My plectrum odyssey has ended (though I can see getting another one or two ... just in case, you know)

I think that would be the small triangle.

I received three casein small triangle picks from Eric yesterday--a 1.5mm, a 2mm, and a 2.5mm--and these picks are fantastic. First, they are beautiful and beautifully done. Second, the bevels are the best in the business. Third, they play so well. This is not vespal--it doesn't have that characteristic snappy, bright, ring-y, tone you get from vespal. Rather, these picks deliver a big warm tone. If vespal is like a glass of ice water, then these are more like a cup of hot chocolate or something.

Highly recommended!

Yes, the BlueChip TP is the same as Eric's small triangle.

Good to hear EML is making good stuff. It's a lotta work, I can tell ya, but Eric appears to have a good handle on it, and is producing products that really perform. Bravo.

First of all, props to HHP for all of his comments re: Picks, bevels, and the like. Based on his comments I ordered a EML Casein pick that I received last week. The quality of tone and the volume that this pick delivers (1.5mm) is stunning. Love it so much I ordered another. Thanks Harry!

Casein is this kind of magical material. When I first played this material about four years ago, I knew I had found a replacement for the genuine TS picks i bought forty years ago at McCabes. The close you will ever find to the warm and tone of the real thing. And they look cool too.
