I am selling my 2011 Gibson J185 New Vintage. I am the 2nd owner of this beauty.
It is in near perfect condition with only minor handling finish marks. These are very rare instrument and Gibson only made 20 of these exclusively for Wildwood Guitars.
This one was made using hide glue for the top, and neck joint.
The best way that I can think of that describes the voice of this guitar is,, warmth. It has bone nut, saddle and bridge pins.
It has excellent balance throughout with a low end that is clear and smooth while the mids and highs are very clear, clean and articulate, without being too trebley or too bright.
It's seems to be able to deliver just about everything you want, and will give you back exactly what you put into it. Just a very sweet instrument.
The guitar did have electronics when I purchased it, and the previous owner, for some reason had a very large hole for the end jack. I had the electronics removed and the hole professionally repaired and the strap button installed. The Luther did an outstanding job. Looks great !
