Default Finish!

The first coats of finish always reveal the character of the wood in an exciting way.

This Macassar Ebony has a lot of oils in it that interfere with the curing of my oil varnish finish, so several shellac barrier coats are needed.

Last night it was finally warm enough to take the guitar out for a stroll. Such a pretty theme for this guitar. The Sinker Cedar really adds a warmth to both the look an the sound. Available this weekend at the Memphis Guitar Festival
