Well, I really doubt that and, if they did, they didn't do it by much.. People buying a Sony camera will look, first, at Sony lenses, simply because they don't know that others can work, as well.

I'm not saying they won't produce great results.

I'm just saying they're not really worth what people think they're worth.

This is a "SOLD " listing from eBay. The lens went for $200.00:

Canon 300mm f/4L FD

Coupled with the two bodies you had, that value is far south of $300.00, and I can't imagine the other lenses adding up to another $600.00. Like I said, you made a good deal.

I have a bookcase filled with vintage/older/used cameras; everything from Canon SLR's to bellows cameras to "3D" cameras, with some lenses, flash accessories, manuals, boxes and more. If I add up the true value of everything in that bookcase, it comes in around $600.00.

Actually thinking of selling my Canon digital...Never though my Canon new f1.
I'm not sure what that means. "Never though my Canon new F1"?

Default The Demolition of Candlestick Park

Kind of sad, even as a Raider fan. Saw this driving up to the city last week.

The new stadium is great, and things change. No problem. Just thought this was a moment in the city's history worth recording. Seeing the names in the ring of fame falling down was moving. Such a sense of emptiness which I don't think the photos accurately convey, though I tried.

Sorry, meant the above as a new thread. Was reading this one and got mixed up I guess. Anyway, was inspired by this thread so no biggie.

Taken with a full-frame DSLR.

Canon 6D with Canon 17-40 f/4 USM.

Something to be said for the longevity of the Nikon F mount...

Glad to hear you like the D750! I have been vascillating between the D610 and the D750...upgrading from the D200. I have come to believe that the $500 difference in price is well worth the added expense, with better autofocus sensitivity etc.. I just need to spring for it, as I own 2 FX zooms already...Though finding it difficult to spend that kind of money on any camera... But the high ISO capabilities and color rendition, of the new dslr sensors are fabulous!

That's something that drives my brother crazy about Canon. He's wanting to upgrade from his Nikon D200, and is impressed with my Canon 6D. He's afraid,m though, that somewhere down the road Canon will alter their mounts again.

I have that exact same set-up in my case (well, I've got a lot of set-ups, that's just one of them).

Those are some great shots, man. You should print them and sell them to Niners fans!

Get it. The D200 is a decent camera but the sensors have evolved tremendously. I hate to say it, but my out of the camera pics on my Sony NEX are better than the my D300s due to the sensor. It was actually that realization that made me want a new generation Nikon and I went full frame this time.

I looked into this and just bought a very cheap Canon lens and adapter to try on my NEX for fun. I totally forgot about the focus peaking. Should be interesting.

I totally agree. I just stick with Pentax because I've got a kazillion lenses and accessories.

The D300 and D300s are still quite capable of producing a lot of good stuff. I happen to know a guy that has one with a 17-55 lens for sale over on Nikonians

Here's a couple samples of a D300 at work
