Default Anyone tried the new '07 214?

If so, what are your impressions? Do they sound as nice as they look?

I haven't tried one, but there have been several posts here from people who have tried the new 07 214 with laminated rosewood, and most everyone has been pleasantly surprised to hear a rich, rosewood type tone. I think a lot of people think "laminate" = plywood sound, but it seems even a laminate rosewood still sounds a lot like rosewood!

YUP. I think its the next GAS casualty for me. I'd like to get one with an e, I think. Tried one last week and it seemed to have a very nice tone. To me it sounded like an opened up 314 with more a tiny bit more bass and mid. The no electric pricing was very competitive. It's not a GS but a very very nice sound for a laminate.
