Been around a little while ,great site. I wasn't sure where to place my introduction...What or who is a good place to buy sweitenia and highly figured maple.I've heard of Electric Hardwood ,but can't seem to find the on the net,but that is only Maple.
Would anyone care to share their knowledge.

What are you using the Sweitenia Macrophylla for? Necks, electric bodies, back/sides?

Sorry I should have been more specific .Necks, solid one piece or a 5 piece plus both in maple and Mahogany. I don't want to have laminate the heel in little blocks. That way is functional, but it hurts my eyes to see the glue lines. I've looked at Honduras Mahogany that has been planted in Fiji, but finding a source for that I've hit a couple of road blocks.

Have you tried Hibdon for the mahogany? Their stuff is usually very nice.

I see that you're in New Zealand, which I believe makes your mahogany needs a problem. I think that Honduran falls under Cites or Lacey now (however LMI might have some Cites approved mahogany blanks).

For highly figured maple, you can't go wrong with The Wood Well, in northwest Washington state. They have both flamed and quilted ranging from mildly to outrageously figured.

Happy hunting.

Gilmer Wood usually has quite a few Mahogany neck blanks available.
