Default I Shall Not Be Moved

Here is a fun old song that I've been wanting to record for a while now. It's been covered by so many really talented artists, and I have to add my humble version to the list.

As always, I'm happy for any feedback on how to improve the performance.

I Shall Not Be Moved

Hope you enjoy.

Steve

Thanks FB. Glad you enjoyed it. I thought the falsetto was a little rough at the ending, but thanks. It's kind of moving playing a song like this, almost as if you're feeling and channelling all the years of social transformation that the song has helped inspire and motivate.

Nice job on this, Steve.

One suggestion would be to vary the right hand a bit more. The song is very repetitive and changing things up (flat picking, palm muting, volume, etc.) would make it more interesting to listen to.

The falsetto at the end sounded just fine, by the way.

Thanks, Jeremy. A problem that I seem to have is that I plan to have a wide range of dynamics and styles in my songs, and it feels like I do. Then when I lay down the recording, what the mic hears is much more 'flat' and unvaried than what I think I'm playing.

Steve, I like this performance of yours. You're showing more expression in your voice which makes it so much more pleasant to listen to. Good job.
