Thanks for listening.

I use two LDC mics (one near the 12th fret, one near the bridge) and connect them straight to an Apogee Duet.

I live in an open space which was not given any special treatment for recording.

That's true... I admittedly beat the piss out of mine!! Wouldn't do that with an Olson, I don't think.

Top notch all the way around Mau. Your technique and tone are nonpareil.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Hopefully I have enough good years in front of me to keep improving.

I keep saying that I need Jim to build me an entry-level SJ that I can plug in and beat up. But he's 64 now so not sure whether that's going to happen...

Thanks so much, Steve.

It is quite interesting that the term "nonpareil" survived in English -- but not in French. You have impressive vocabulary...

Thank you.

I just bought the tab for "Heather's Song". We'll see if I can crack that one...

I'm not sure which is more amazing - your playing or the tone of that lovely guitar! Both are spectacular!

I'd have to say the composition and the guitar are most amazing...

Thanks so much for listening.

I am currently learning "Heather's Song" on my Gibson L-00. I'll move back to the Olson when my technique is more precise...

Just fantastic Mau. That includes your playing, the vibe and the tone of the guitar. I get mesmerized watching you play.

Things started to fall apart when the police siren sounded, lol, not! I didn't hear any siren nor did I hear you distracted.

I don't spend too much time in Show and Tell so I missed this when you first posted but I'm glad I checked it out today. Keep the videos coming, Mau.

Another late reply...

Fantastic job Mau. Great recording technique, great tone, impeccable playing. This tune looks very difficult!

+1 I sat there watching/listening to you play that song, and I was nearly hypnotized - in a great way! I don't listen to alot of instrumental music, but I could listen to this all day long.

I too try to improve my playing every day - I've just got a lot more room for improvement than you do, Mau
