Good decision.

My apologies for describing the X7 as flatsounding. What I really meant is I hear more of the strings sound of the strings between the CF top and strings compared to a bassier, echoed sound of the strings directly above the soundhole.

No worries JK It's hard to describe sounds in words......

Buy the new picks now Llamarebel, they'll make all your guitars sound better and you get used to them in time for the X7's arrival.

A good thick/stiff pick sound great and make a much bigger difference than you can imagine. It's the the cheapest significant upgrade you can make to any guitar and Michael makes some of the best there are.

Just got my bluegrass Wegen picks last night and wow, that difference is pretty shocking. I can't believe that's not more of a priority, much less string noise and just a fatter tone in general. Thanks for the advice!
