Default Brother Wind (Tim O'Brien Cover)

This is a beautiful song about loneliness and never quite finding your place in life by a great songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist (I prefer his mandolin playing, but he plays mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and banjo--and maybe some other instruments) Tim O'Brien. O'Brien got his start with the Colorado-based bluegrass supergroup Hot Rize and subsequently forged a great solo and collaborative career. His album of Dylan covers, "Red on Blonde," is one of the best album of Dylan tunes out there. Everything the guy does is basically killer, and he's a nice, down-to-earth person with no ego, very funny and smart. I have met him several times over the years, and he's just the best.

Anyway, here's my little take on this tune he co-wrote and recorded with singer-songwriter Darrell Scott: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV2423bwUDI

Very nice, Tim! You really got the feel for this! I have enjoyed Tim O'Brien's music for years! Well done!

Hey, thanks for checking it out, Glenn. I have been a huge O'Brien fan myself as well for decades now. I cannot think of anything he has done that I didn't like.

I never thought about the synchronicity, but there you go. Joe, I appreciate the support and kindness. I like to do songs that a lot of people might not know but should. Sometimes it works, lol.
