Default T5Z update - is it better

Does anyone know if the control changes to the T5z are just relocated knobs or if they improved the electronics?

Default I got my own answer!

Finally, while the core electronics remain the same, Andy repositioned the T5z’s volume and tone knobs to allow more intuitive tone-shifting on the fly.

I was hoping they resolved the switch issues - I recall watching jonfields45 break alot of new territory trying to solve the issues with the 5 way.

I'm pretty sure they switched to the stamped steel and riveted Schaller switch years ago.

I saw a picture and maybe they’ve updated to larger pots. The turns lifetime of the 9mm snap pots on all ES’s to date are too low for an electric guitarist constantly tweaking overdrive with the volume control.

The pot detent is another issue as it accelerates failure by centralizing wear to one location.
