Default NGD: A post Xmas present to myself- Bourgeois

After all the shopping for presents (particularly my daughter who is working in Paris for 18 months), wife, family and friends, I put my feet up and was looking at Guitar store web site. I had previously bought a fancy ss dread from Froggy Bottom mahogany and adi, but in my mind it really wasn't any better than a J-45(great guitar) except the Froggy cost too much. So I sold it.
Then I came across this a SS Dread full scale rosewood with torrefied adi top and was engrossed. I like bigger guitars and a rosewood/adi dread = Martin in my mind. I mean they just make banging rosewood and hogback dreads. Ok Enough. I saw this limited edition(12) and there were none in my area to try so I took the leap of faith. The slope shoulder with Brazilian made believe I would have a great full size guitar that did not sound like my 2 Martin dreads.
For Me, this is the one of a handful of full sized guitar that turns me on, feels great and I love it like my Martin dreads although this one sounds and perhaps more graceful (or at very least different) IMO.

OK so I bought this Bourgeois Advanced Slope D Limited Edition Brazilian/Torrefied Adi hide glue, Guatemalan Rosewood bridge & fingerboard and all the other good stuff you might like. 14 fret. standard scale 1/23/32 Nut width and a beautiful burst on the top. This one is number 8 of the 12 built. I am not very good putting the sound I hear into words, but I love the way this sounds. I have a sensitive wrist and was nervous because the neck is described as having a gentle V. Martins ModV is unplayable for me but fortunately this neck is as easy for me to play as Martins MLO neck shape. The overall guitar feels very comfortable and just fits me well.
I just can't say enough about it. After 2 weeks I just play it and smile BIG. Here some pics:

That guitar is exquisitely mind blowing. What a beautiful instrument. the Burst is superb, the wood specs are off the hook, build quality second to none. Love it! Congrats! You picked a sweetheart!

Congratulations, that’s a beauty! I’m a big fan of DB’s guitars, and yours is spectacular! Play her in good health. Did you give her a name?
