Burst on the neck
Here is the burst on the neck.
Black through reddish brown to amber. The trim was masked off for the color spraying, so the bloodwood is a nice and vibrant contrast to the black. This is now under 2 coats of clear, so we can all breathe a little easier as it is unlikely that I'll sand through the color now. Whew..... |

I had the guitar photographed the other day.
The headstock is furnished with matte black Rubner tuners with black pearl knobs. Rubner's tuners are designed and built in Germany and they are of exceptional quality. |

Final Photos
Well,
I have let this thread hang for a while, but I think it's time to finish it up. I Delivered the instrument to J.R. at the Memphis guitar show in June. A few weeks later, J.R. and Holly came by to visit. It was awesome to share Colorado with you guys! I am posting the final photos here one by one. Photo by Todd Powell |
