Question ¿ Sennhieser/T.C.Helicon MP-76 Condenser Cardioid Mic ?

¿ Anyone here use/have one ? The handle's LED
read out & 4 small switches for loop triggering
and preset changes is a big plus for a this mic
for a soloist looper act with a looper
like my T.C.Helicon VL3X .

  • 4 User-Assignable Buttons for Controlling
    TC-Helicon Vocal Effects
  • Super-Cardioid Pick-Up Pattern Optimized
    for Close Mic Technique
  • Superior Background Noise Rejection and
    Resistance to Feedback
  • Excellent Pop and Breath Noise Rejection
    & Low Handling Noise
  • Numeric Display Shows FX Settings

What I have listen to on Youtube is cool but I am
after real everyday musician/people's comments on
this unit and examples of it's recording ability .

I would think that foot pedals would work better for a singing guitarist than buttons on the mic... with the buttons you have to take a hand off your guitar to change settings.

I think that particular thing is targeted at non-playing front people. Makes a lot of sense for them, really.

Cool Other Than a Guitar

I also sing and blow harps , for me this is an appealing unit for live action solo / band or studio session work . I have blown harps since 1954 and guitar
only 18 years .

I am working on a project to make a switch 3/6 for this application of small sized switch assembly in a nano/micro size unit to do this after I loop a guitar

phrase to control my harp FX triggers and preset changes on the fly in a belt pack or built into my bullet harp mic's housing like the MP-76 , they did ,
why can't I is my attitude .

If you don't blow harp this doesn't make sense , I full well understand this and the comments , it's cool , all observations are welcomed .

I have several nano assemblies switches laid out so far but R&D is a time consuming son of a gun . This mic [ MP-76 ] might do the job
now while I develop my nano/micro switch assembly in the meanwhile .

I'm reluctant to try this mic as a harp mic ($179.00 ) , I just don't know how it will hold up for intense sound pressure a power harp player generates .
I am open to it as a vocalist and as a harmonica musician loads if it could work .

I also wonder how well it will mic my acoustic soprano ukulele , steel dread , nylon spanish classical & resonator resonator guitars . I've SM57, 58, and large
diaphragm phantom mics already .

I'm no normal type Bob Dylan harp blower - I get into stuff like Howard Levy:

And the late great Paul Butterfield :
