Default Looking for a device that converts audio cassette recordings to CD/DVD

I found some old audio cassette recordings from a band I was in quite some time ago. Would like to select some of the songs from the cassette tapes and get them onto a CD/DVD disc. Is there a device which will play the tapes, convert the signal and record it onto a blank disc. I'd like to surprise my old band-mates with a little gift from way-back ...

Please advise .. thanks!

you can run your cassette player thru your audio interface and into your computer via your DAW and then burn a dvd/cd. i do this with vinyl. cassette may be a little more of a problem as age may have changed them. run the cassette full forward and rewind first.

take the cassette player hook it to your focusrite or similar audio interface(assuming you have one as this is the record subforum) and out to your computer's audio in. then using your DAW such as garageband or reaper, record the cassette. then your computer should be able to burn a cd of it. note that i have done exactly what your are wishing to do and this is how i did it.

hope that helps.

play music!

This device plugs into your computer - it converts to MP3 format, and you would need to do some editing in your computer, or you wil end up wiht long file the length of the cassette:
