Smile Eastman E10PM ("M" for Mahogany)

I downsized recently because we moved from one state to another, and I sold my Eastman E10P parlor even though I really liked it. If it had had a mahogany top it would have made the cut and would now be living in Colorado.

So I've been looking to replace it with an all-hog parlor and have been getting frustrated because I can't find exactly what I want for less than $3k, which I don't want to spend.

And then today, quite by accident, I find out that Eastman made an E10PM all-hog parlor for a short time back in 2012. WHY didn't SOMEBODY TELL ME??? Think of all the time I could have saved searching the world for that special guitar!

Now all I have to do is find one. If you happen to have one laying around that needs a good home or spot one on the WWW, please let me know.

Thanks.

It's a long shot, I know. But I'll bump it one time.

I was noodling around looking for one for you - out of curiosity - while my wife was watching Law & Order.
No joy.
There are, however, a couple of Martin 0-12s on Reverb - hog top and sipo BS - that come in shy of the $2k mark.

Well, thank you, Swamp Yankee, I appreciate that.

If my left hand liked the Taylor neck, I'd buy a 324 like yours and be done with it!

Nice guitar, my 324, but it's no parlor guitar

True. Sure good looking guitars, though.

How about that Wechter? I've been reading good things....

I really like my Wechter, a lot. 000 size, very rich tone and plenty of volume. It has a nice wide fretboard coupled with an easy playing neck that's chunkier near the nut for the cowboy chords, but then gets shallower as you go up the scale, making it more comfortable for barre chords. Mine is spruce/mahogany. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a T0-8428, (spruce/rosewood) but they're even more rare. One came up on Reverb this weekend but sold within hours :/

Hey Ken - check out Wildwood Music. Looks like they have a Larrivee parlor, all quilted mahogany, for under a grand. Sounds too good to be true. Paddle head so you'd have to satisfy your masochistic impulses elsewhere.

Would you consider an all-solid mahogany, flame mahogany no less, in 00-size?

Not as diminutive as a Parlor, but still relatively compact.

Eastman E10 00-M

Ted's stocks them. A little under $1k with forum pricing.

I did, Clovenhand, and they have some nice guitars- nice prices, too. Thanks for the tip.

I guess I could just poke my fingers with a rusty thumbtack after a string change and it would be just like having a slothead, right?

DHart, I have looked at those. Would sure like to play one.

The parlors have ebony on the fretboard and bridge, while the 00 has rosewood. And the string spacing is a bit wider on the parlor, which I like. Neither is a deal-breaker, though.

The parlor that I sold had a MASSIVE neck, though, which I really liked.

But thanks for the tip, I will keep the 00 in mind. There are lots of them out there for sale, that's for sure.

If you have any interest in revisiting the E10P I have a good one. Baseball Bat neck, Ebony board and bridge, wide spacing, you know the deal. Good Luck in your quest!

I was wandering around the world of Eastman on the 'net this morning and ran across this thread of mine from a little over a year ago.

No luck yet, still searching. And you guys have been NO help whatsoever!!!

Let's get on the stick, dangit!
