Default Singing QUestion! How does Billie Joe do this!

how does he do that grace note thing at like 18 seconds! i cant seem to get it

I'm not sure you're describing what you want to describe, but there's nothing of interest at :18, however he does hit, what sounds like, a 12th fret harmonic (root note, high string, of whatever key they're in) at 2:36.

i meant with his voice the way he quiclky hits 3 notes.

Technically - by lightening up the pressure on the throat while keeping the air supported from the diaphragm.

Also, concentrate on hitting the first note solidily and in tune. If you slow down what you may be doing now, you will find that you are cheating that tone in order to get to the end. This causes an otherwise clean three-note figure to sound more like a flatted slur.

When you begin, sing and hold that first note in the three-note figure until you get it, then add the other two. Always return to that first tone, and keep it true, when you start to slip. This will help you "clean up" the figure, and have it sound more the way it is sung on the recording.
