http://www.tobywalkerslessons.com/le...nger-pick.html He must have changed the name to protect the innocent. I'm no expert but for me it's a great set of lessons. You have to be patient and learn the songs measure by measure (good name for a play!) as slowly as you can do it. These are the real songs not a dumbed down version. Toby explains them very well but it takes time. In the ''Play'' section of this forum there is a Toby Walker lesson thread. Check that one out. One good thing about these lessons is that sometimes the song you learn sounds like another song, like ''Begging Back Blues'' sound like ''Richland Woman''. It gives me confidence that since I can learn one I can learn another! |

Here you go, the formal title is intro to fingerpicking or some such. http://www.tobywalkerslessons.com/le...nger-pick.html I can recommend it as well. There is enough in there to keep you busy for a while

Yes, I'm retired and I practice twice a day; a short practice to start the day and a long practice at the end of the day. I still stumble sometimes in the songs and still can't sing and play at the same time, but there is always a little progress and it feels really good. I've been a runner for almost 40 years, this reminds me of when I first started out running. |

Good move! Just remember; patience, patience, patience. Take it one measure at a time.
