Default NGD Yamaha Transacoustic

Well just when I thought my guitar collection was completed my dear wife surprised me last week with an early 60th Birthday present , a beautiful Yamaha Transacoustic. I'll send some pictures over shortly but just to say for solo fingerstyle it's just perfect . The tone of the ARE Engleman Spruce top is clear and warm and the solid rosewood back and sides give a lovely piano like clarity. The neck has great rolled fingerboard edges with ebony bridge and fingerboard . The built in effects if used normally give a wonderful three dimensional sound and the sound when plugged in is just the same but louder . As you can tell I'm a Yamaha fan but really pleased with this one

I played one briefly recently; it's definitely an unusual experience hearing the fx coming as if from nowhere! Nice guitar.

I have played the Transacoustic quite a lot when I "spend time" in the music stores, and it's a really nice guitar... congrats!

Congrats! I'd like to try one of those too! I wonder how it sounds recorded while "plugged in."

Congratulations!

I'm joining the TA club! Ordered mine today from a music store near Indianapolis, the concert sized one with sunburst.

Good new and congratulations. I've played mine with and without amplification now and I am totally 100% over the moon with it . In fact for some styles ( fingerstyle ) it's perfect . One point I would make is that the effects sound better at the lower range of the effect ie there is a lot of effect level within the controls range so less is more . I think you will be amazed at the build quality , Engleman top solid back and sides and Ebony fretboard and bridge and the fretwork is the best I've seen for a long time . I love Yamaha guitars and this and the SLG200s is two of my favourites
Happy playing and good health
