Nut/Saddle Widths
How do you measure Nut Width, Saddle Width, and Space between strings? Johnny

If you want to be accurate, then you use a digital caliper.
If "near enough is good enough" then use a 6" steel rule. With a digital caliper, the method of measuring the string spacing at the saddle (which is what I assume you want to do when you say "saddle width" is to measure the distance between the outside of both E strings, just in front of the saddle, and then subtract half of the combined thickness of both E strings. |

When you measure the nut width at/just above/first fret, do you also measure from outside of the two E strings, or from other points. I don't understand.
