Default Acoustic Guitar Romance

well, I would think that everyone on this thing find the sweet romance of the acoustic guitar, and that they have gravitated towards something that seems to harness the purity of that envigorous excitment...Taylor Guitars. Now, we all know that there are different companies, new school and old school technology, legacy and timelessness in certain models. Still it seems with all the discussions that go on here about what models are better than others, or which Taylors sound like other Makers...essentially that they have forgotten why they plan, instead of feasting simply on what they play...

I hope that we all remember why we play, and that in times of despair and uncertainty, we turn to our axe, our approved mistress, our imaginary friend, our acoustic guitar. Fortunately for us, Taylor has create something that seems to put and keep the lightening in the bottle.

I agree that some of us place too much emphasis on the technology and not enough on the music and execution thereof. We forget the romantic aspect which probably had more to do with our being attracted to the instrument in the first place.

Welcome to the forum.

I agree we should focus attention on why we are inspired to play, but I humbly disagree about the "brand" stuff; based on experiences and the input of many wise people, including many members of this forum.

I can summerize it as:

I play music on guitar brand A; I like what I hear.
I play music on guitar brand B; I like what I hear.
I play music on guitar brand C; I like what I hear.

Remove the variable, brand X. The result, I play music on guitar; I like what I hear.

There was inspiration, imagination, desire, and ability before there was Taylor. Taylor, Martin, Larrivee, Breedlove, Olson, Sante Cruz,.....etc. is fortunate to have us.
