When I think of blues box I think of ladder braced guitars. This is a 1920's S.S. Stewart, BRW back and sides with a ladder braced spruce top, 12 frets. It's a honkin guitar.

Don't really consider these "blues boxes" as it does not matter what guitar you play the blues as long as you have what Rev. Davis once referred to as a sporting right hand but here are a few which would be considered by most to fit the bill:

Oscar Schmidt-made Galiano Jumbo (with a late 1950s Harmony Sovereign)



Pre-War Regal Jumbo 12 string



Oscar Schmidt "Westbrook" Stella



Kay-Kraft made Oahu "Nick Lucas"



Kay K6



Regal-Made Oahu (with replaced bridge)

It's not a guitar that I put bright strings on Roy, which is 90% of it. Plus you have to have the right amount of string buzz, lol.
