Taylor 510AB 25th Anniversary
I saw one of these today at a new music shop that just opened recently. It was a beautiful guitar, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play it. I can't find any info on this model. He has it priced a little lower than what a new 410 would cost.
Anyone familiar with this guitar?

Hey Muffinhead, I did a little research and found very little on this guitar. Looks like the 25th anniversary models were made in 1999. The "AB" stands for Abalone Binding.
Here's a thread from 2001 with some 510AB info: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...ead.php?t=1996 Here's a general thread about 25th anniversary models that state it was actually done in 2 editions (there was also the LTD run) http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...ad.php?t=24873 It may or may not have the NT neck depending upon the edition http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...ad.php?t=19058 Any chance that you can go back and play it? |

it would be mahogany back and sides, Engelmann spruce top, 1 11/16 nut, 25.5 scale, 2 3/16 saddle spacing, abalone rosette and top purfling, ebony fingerboard and bridge, faux tortois body binding. Other than that standard Taylor (mid nineties) dread body size regarding dimensions.
